Here are some Garner & Clayton spring events you don’t want to miss!
Clayton Farm & Community Market

When: First Saturday in April (April 6) through last Saturday in October, 9am – 1pm
Where: Downtown Clayton, 348 E Main St
What: Browse a huge variety of locally grown, made, and crafted produce, goods, and baked treats from local artisans and vendors. Set in scenic Downtown Clayton, the Community Market has become a favorite local tradition.
Spring Eggstravaganza

When: April 13, 10am – 12:30pm
Where: Lake Benson Park
What: Egg hunts for various age groups (Under 2 through 12). Tons of food. Visits with the Easter Bunny. Games and crafts. Live music. What more could the kiddos need from a spring celebration?
Earth Day in Garner

When: April 20, 9am – 10:30
Where: 2400 Aversboro Rd, Garner
What: Help keep Garner clean and beautiful by donating just a little of your time to removing litter from roadways or helping out with simple landscaping projects in parks. Clean-up equipment is provided and Chick-fil-A will be bringing biscuits for volunteers!
Cleveland Strawberry Festival

When: April 27
Where: Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, Technology Dr in Garner, 9am – 7pm
What: Enjoy a full day of celebration! Arts & crafts vendors, inflatables, activities, a classic car show, music and dance, great food, and lots of strawberries!
Ham & Yam Festival

When: May 4
Where: Neuse River Amphitheatre, Smithfield
What: The Ham & Yam Festival has been a JoCo tradition for 35 years… and this one’s shaping up to be the best one yet! Thousands of people will flock to Smithfield to catch the pig races, live entertainment, BBQ cookoff, and ham and yam foods!
Clayton Road Race

When: May 11, 9am
Where: Downtown Clayton
What: The Annual Clayton Road Race is a competitive 5K through the scenic streets of Downtown Clayton… and has been running for 36 years! The race welcomes all those 7 and older to the chip-timed run or walk, and there’s even a 0.1 to trot for the kids.
JoCo Latino Festival

When: May 19
Where: Blackstone Plaza – Azteca Market, Selma
What: Celebrate Latino culture at the 2nd Annual JoCo Latino Festival. Bring your blankets and chairs for a laid-back lineup of local entertainment faves. There will also be a bounce house, food, games, and more.
